Although Upper Arley is tucked away in beautiful countryside,
it is only a short distance from the motorway network (M5 Junction
3) and easily accessible.
The Arboretum is to be found between Kidderminster and Bridgnorth
on the A442, just over a mile from the hamlet of Shatterford, and
is brown signed from this road.
It is also accessible from the Bewdley-Highley Road (B4194) via
the footbridge over the River Severn at Arley. The arboretum is
within walking distance of the Severn Valley Railway Station at
Arley, and the sound of the steam locomotives often drifts through
the arboretum. The steam railway is a very stylish way to visit
the Arboretum!
